Update:
Eyes doing ok - solid 20/20 in my left, 20/20 in my right but it's hazy due to continued inflammation (though that's getting better and should hopefully clear up by the end of the week).

Feel like absolute total fucking ass (I have potentially caught the flu - N and I have the same symptoms, and he managed to get a doctor's appt. for today, so will probably extrapolate from his diagnosis). Called off today and am contemplating emailing my boss to let him know I may call off tomorrow, too. First I'm going to see how the non-pseudoephedrine Sudafed works.

Going to go huddle under my blanket again now.

Influenza for the lose. :(

You'll find your visual acuity drifting a bit for the first few months. Don't panic if you have a bit of blurriness in the meantime.

There once was this wonder-drug that Nick forced me to take. It was some Alka-seltzer variant or another that was fuck-all tough on the flu bug and all its realted symptoms. Then some retarded teenie bopper whore out in middle America died after taking it. Nevermind that she was anorexic/bullemic with heart damage from starving herself and taking laxatives and water-loss pills. The news called it a tragedy. The drug companies called it a potential lawsuit, I called it natural fucking selection, hard at work.

So they yanked it from all the shelves, and after a few months brought it back out on the market with new active ingrediaents. Needless to say it doesnt work anymore. Score one more for the people out there that fuck things up for the rest of us. God I hope I dont get the Flu this season.

But... she died pretty.

My favorite part of the flu is where you go in to see the doctor because you've got a fever and you want to at least get it down on paper for your boss, and maybe get a strep culture so paranoia doesn't make it worse. And the doctor doesn't see that you're a reasonable person who will be perfectly happy with "go home, sleep, guzzle water, eat something" but instead hands you a Z-pack just to shut you up.

Mmm. Superbugs!
