too much time on my hands

Well folks...

I have over 2 weeks of vacation to kill before the end of the year... right now I've scheduled October 10-14 as vacation and December 12-16. N, unfortunately, can't take the extra time, as he will need it for an upcoming jaw surgery.

Give me some suggestions!!! I have no plans set for that time yet, and while sitting on my ass around the house is plenty appealing, it might be kinda nice to get out and do something!
SO: Have a good vacation spot to recommend? Any conventions going on? Interested in a houseguest for a few days? Just think I should visit your state because the tourist traps are excellent? I'll take anything!

You should consider a night in Louisville during the last week of October. Not sure what date exactly, but I hear there will be a "Book Completion" party with a side of Immense Self Celebration (aka drunken birthday celebration) either the 22nd, 28th or 29th.

Of course you are always welcome to visit Atlanta. I'll be relatively broke (while saving for the Louisville bash and early 2006 self publication) and I won't be able to take time off from work myself (see original suggestion), but there's still cool stuff here.

As much as I'd like to see/meet you sooner than later, I don't think October is going to work. That is the last week of the show (BatB), the week of G's birthday, Koren will be working on the Fyre Fae show. Exciting times, but no one would have time to hang out with you.

Our schedules are a lot more open in December, but do you think we can sustain the magic until then?
