Soooooo, I finally bought a new car. WHEE! I've been rolling the idea around in my head for a while, and then Thursday a deal came up at King's Mazda of $2500 off MSRP (given what the salesman said, it was a last ditch "WE REALLY NEED TO MAKE OUR QUOTA THIS MONTH PLEASE COME BUY A CAR" deal). So I found out what was available in the Mazda3 s Touring 5-door, 5-speed manual transmission because I am smoov like that, and one day later I am now a proud owner of a Galaxy Gray Mazda3.
I originally had my heart set on a Saturn Astra 3-door... but the more I thought, the more I liked the Mazda, plus it's got more room and all that. And I am SO happy with my decision. I got a reasonable price, and I LOVE my new car. It is a smooth ride, handles beautifully, has a moonroof (I've never had one so now I feel all spoiled), and a rear-view windshield wiper (what? I like the little things. Especially when I got to use said little thing just this morning and I realized how nice it was).
Plus, I liked the salesman (and yeah, I know you're supposed to, given that they're salesmen, but he didn't come off creepy or weird or pushy)... even if he did mis-file my paperwork so I was at the dealership for 4 hours total, mostly waiting on finance. Sigh.
Extras: Free oil changes at the dealership, forever. Roadside assistance. 6-cd changer. 2K on my trade-in.
Also I got a number on my credit rating, and it is high. Ladies and gents, I ROCK.
Ok. Done tooting my own horn. I am too excited about this new car :D
