(no subject)

I have a question I would really love to have some input on...

I have a TON of old schoolwork, report cards, etc. etc, spanning the time from when I was just a wee one up through all my old Chemical Engineering college stuff. I've been lugging it with me since my mom finally cleaned out her storage :)
What the hell do I do with it?
I'm not having children, so there's no legacy to leave behind, and I never look at it except when I'm moving and trying to organize, but it's still my past, my history, and my memories. Throwing it all out just seems ... disrespectful. What if I want to remember all this stuff when I get older?

What's everyone else done with all that stuff?

I don't have too much. Maybe a report card or two, and an old diary from when I was a wee kid. Maybe go through and pick out your most favorite bits and then keep them in a nice keepsake box.

Didn't we burn a big chunk of the highschool stuff after graduating? But for the rest, I would say chucking out most of it would probably be ok. Save some of the really semtimental/significant stuff, and any useful "Reference/spare knowlegde stuff that could come in handy". Most of those kinda things got chucked out of my stuff a while ago and I get by. All the artwork I've got on the other hand...XD;;

I just stick stuff like that in Xerox boxes and close 'em. Easily stackable and storable, and it's there if I need it, out of sight if I don't.

I threw just about everything away except for my report cards, and I seriously regret it. I do not even really recall throwing it away, I just know that I no longer have it. I do have some stuff form high school and i really cherish it.
