more books
Dec. 24th, 2007 09:52 amSoooo.... I'm bored. I'm "at work" today, by which I mean I'm logged in from home, waiting until around noon, when my boss logs in and finishes anything I didn't do.
La.
I've re-read several books this year, so I guess I can add them to my count:
Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason (Helen Fielding) - which I actually enjoyed more upon a re-read. I recalled that some of the plot twists were completely unbelievable, and they are, to a degree, but not as badly as I first thought. It was a fun re-read.
Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone (J.K. Rowling)
Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets (J.K. Rowling)
Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban (J.K. Rowling)
And I'm in the middle of Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire (J.K. Rowling). I never finished the last 2 books (and I'll tell you, it is hard to actually have a life on the innerwebs and manage to avoid spoilers), so I'm giving them all another go. They're even more enjoyable than the first time :)
Polgara the Sorceress (David + Leigh Eddings) - I still love the Belgariad and the Mallorean. Rich characters, a classic good vs. evil plotline, and unique races and landscapes. I wish Eddings' recent stuff wasn't crap.
Happy belated solstice... YAY FOR LONGER DAYS! I am so tired of leaving work on-time, by which I mean @ 5:30, and it's already friggin dark outside.
Hope everyone is having a nice christmas eve :)

Happy solstice!
