I'm going to start pulling together holiday cards soon soon - if you want one, please leave a comment in this entry - http://miz-anneliese.livejournal.com/161194.html or email me at the address given within. I looooooove getting cards from people but I don't expect the desire is necessarily reciprocated, so this is opt-in only :)
I have caught the next round of plague (don't worry, I'll address holiday cards with gloves on, I promise, unless I don't like you, and then I'm coughing into the envelope). I'm sure I exacerbated it by attending The Beau's Sister (let's call her VN for short)'s graduation on Saturday (first of the kids - and there are 5 - to get a Bachelor's degree), followed by celebration at Palamino's, followed by drinks at Arlin's, followed by more drinks and Wii-ing at VN & her fiance's place in Clifton. So all in all I stayed out too late for a girl who could already feel a sore throat coming on, but, enh. I had a really nice time, and finally met the other sister. I also kicked booty in Wii-bowling, although The Beau's mother had the BEST move, which was bowling a spare on a 7-10 split. :)
Sunday was spent sleeping, laying on the couch, watching the rest of Weeds Season 1, napping, watching Paprika, eating pizza, watching Venture Brothers, and going to bed ridiculously early. Oh, and the insomnia between 2:30 and 3:30.
In other news...
I got an A in Medical Anthropology, but really, the class was cake. A midterm and a final and extra credit that could boost you to an A easily (though I scored high enough on the final to not need to do it, yay!). I did *learn* stuff... interesting stuff, to boot. But I didn't really get what I wanted out of it. I really need to rethink this whole "what am I doing in school" thing. My next thought is to try to take an English course or two with one of The Beau's friends at Raymond Walters... I'm really thinking I might like to get back into some creative prose.
Also in other news, I MUST pay more attention at work... I messed up something last Thursday that I really shouldn't have. Not the end of the world or anything, but that compounded with several other Little Things has shown me that I can't continue to be so complacent at my job... I do still need to pay attention to detail. Oh well. C'est la vie.
I finally had my echocardiogram done at Christ Hospital. I guess my general doc will give me all the results from that and my physical plus accompanying blood tests. The echo was really kinda cool... I watched - and listened to - my heart beat :)
Well - back to the grind (and my kleenex)!
