Dear Semi-truck driver on South 71 this morning:


It would have been really fucking nice if you had noticed the little grey Ford Focus that was in the right lane behind the Cintas truck right before the tunnel. You know, the right lane. The lane you WERE MOST DEFINITELY NOT IN BECAUSE I WAS. It would also have been really nice if you had noticed the first round of honking emitting from the little grey Ford Focus as you very suddenly decided that you would like to BE in the right lane, YOU KNOW, WHERE YOU WERE NOT AND I WAS. It would have been even nicer if you had noticed the SECOND round of honking, ALSO emitting from the little grey Ford Focus, RIGHT BEFORE YOU RAN ME OFF THE FUCKING ROAD YOU PSYCHOTIC OBLIVIOUS CUNTBAG. Thankfully there are very wide shoulders in the tunnel, so the little grey Ford Focus and its driver, a very suddenly rather afraid for her life 30-year old female (ME), could pull over so that you could go about your VERY LARGE IMPORTANT NO TIME FOR CARS OR PAYING ATTENTION OR NOT BEING A PSYCHOTIC CUNTBAG business.
I wish I had been able to pay more attention and get his goddamn trucking company and license plate number.

Also, dear driver? I hope some asshole semi driver scares the fuck out of one of your beloveds, so maybe you'll learn to pay more fucking attention.

Just a note, and not defending that jackass in any way:

Focus has the typical little squeaky beeper. He didn't hear you. When dealing with rigs, your headlights are your best warning tool. If you see a truck trying to change into your lane while you're in it, you should turn on your high beams to warn him off.

I don't know that he would have seen that - my car was about in the space between the cab and the body on the right side. Good advice, though.

Ahem. How many more things gotta happen before you GET RID OF THAT CAR, like Art and I told ya ta do, a month ago. Just because you're 30 doesn't mean I don't still know what's best..... ;P
